About Us

Farid's journey started in the late 1970s and early 1980s, performing with his orchestra and quickly developing a deep interest in sound and technical production. By the age of 18, he was already working as a technical operator at Radio Medi 1 in Tangier. In the years that followed, he built his own sound systems and later founded one of the first digital recording studios in Morocco in the mid-1990s, producing 48-track recordings — a pioneering achievement at the time.

Yonnel, also deeply passionate about music, grew up immersed in the live scene. His father owned the iconic nightclub La Cage in Casablanca during the 80s and 90s — a place where musicians gathered and performed regularly.

The two met in 1993, when Yonnel was looking for a drummer for his band, Africa Band, and had heard about Farid. They quickly connected and began playing together, performing regularly at La Cage and sharing the same passion for music over several years.

Frustrated by the lack of quality sound during their performances, they decided to invest their savings and create their own sound solution. What began as a small setup for their own needs quickly evolved into something bigger, following their first professional opportunity with an African embassy in Rabat.

In the early 2000s, they officially founded Touareg Prod, building the company from the ground up with passion, dedication and a constant pursuit of quality.

Today, Touareg Prod offers a full range of technical services including sound, lighting, backline, video and rigging. Supported by experienced teams, the company delivers each project with precision, reliability and attention to detail.
